Irokeesit ottivat omien sodassa kaatuneiden soturiensa tilalle sotavankeja, jotka he useimmiten kiduttivat hengiltä ja joiden lihat he jakoivat heimon jäsenten kesken ja jotka sitten syötiin...uutta intiaaneista ainakin minulle!

Kyllä ihmissyöntiä on esiintynyt kaikilla mantereilla, Euroopassakin vielä 1900-luvulla.
