foorumilta löytyy runsaasti juttua eri jousipuiden kuivaamisesta, myös pihlajan. Mutta lyhyesti: kuori pois ja halkaistuna kuivamaan vaikka lankkuun kiinnitettynä jottei vääntyilisi. Osa työstää lähelle jousen mittoja ennen kuivaukseen laittoa, myös kuorittuna koko pöllina pihlajaa kuivataan, halkeilu vain riskinä tässä. Hiljalleen kuivaus eli ei tuoreeltaan heti kovin kuivaan sisäilmaan.
